sach u sure u didn't confuse this one with locusts cuz that one's the one lacking direction bruh, this one has a clear direction
|
| |
100% sure
locusts has waaaay more direction than this (or at least, i can actually see the direction on that one)

like imo it sounds like she doesn't even know what she's trying to do for the first 30 minutes of this. she kinda finds it at the end of 21.12.12, but even then, it's nowhere near as cogent as anything on locusts.

it's some end of the world noodling, i find it pretty transparent. it has a clear build-up n everything, but mweah
|
| |
there ain't no build up at all tbh
a world ending goes nowhere
21.12.12 starts off with a whole bunch of energy, stops altogether and then proceeds to pick up where a world ending left off (i.e. going nowhere), except it seems as though she may be trying to go nowhere the second time around

I like spooky's review better tbh

i mean, you were defending snox's review too, so it's fairly evident that you can't read.

"finds itself absent"
surely you could just say "is absent" or "is sadly absent."

Excellent review. I love the phrasing and structure, but despite its length the write up becomes a little tedious with the consistent use of semicolons; I find it a bit a jarring, though I imagine it's intentional and makes things feel like a narrative (which is engaging at the least). Might just be me, otherwise great work! Guess I'll check her older stuff.

Noticed that stutter in the second track, yeah. Was pretty jarring since everything else is supposed to be so fluid. I thought the first track was good once it got going around 7:30minutes. At least it made me want to check her other stuff.

"but despite its length the write up becomes a little tedious with the consistent use of semicolons; I find it a bit a jarring, though I imagine it's intentional and makes things feel like a narrative (which is engaging at the least)."
to be fair, it wasn't really intentional, more it was just me trying to figure out how to throw a bunch of disjoint, but slightly related points together without it turning into a hemingwayesque exercise in super basic mini-sentences...
in reality though, i'd say it's more an effect of me busting my balls to get this done more than anything.
thanks for the kind words though. : )

"Noticed that stutter in the second track, yeah. Was pretty jarring since everything else is supposed to be so fluid."
exactly....
at first i thought it might've been intentional, but then after listening to it a few more times and noticing how glaringly out of place it felt, i came to the conclusion that it was more likely just a bit of nervousness or uncertainty in her playing.

i take it this is nowhere near as good as Anything Bright or Startling
