This is legit one of the worst things I've ever heard like what the actual fuck happened. They were never amazing or anything but they could write a decent song at least. The Flood is a solid 3.5-4. None of these songs even sound like they belong on the same album. Relentless is so bad that I can't even believe it exists. The chorus on Real sounds like a D-tier Backstreet Boys song. Someone needs to tell Austin that he's a good screamer but an awful singer, just let the other guy do the melodic vocals. He sounds like he's doing a terrible imitation of Chester Bennington. Pain is the best song by a mile and it's like a 3 at best.

game of war might be the worst song i've heard this year. never has a track meant to set an ominous tone fallen so flat on its face

This is easily their worst album. Also, is it just me or does the breakdown in The Lie sound similar to the breakdown in O.G. Loko?

I thought it was pretty bad even compared to radio rock.

I admittedly like some mainstream rock bands and this is terrible even for that genre of music. There is nothing interesting on here other than Pain.

pretty strange how the three 5's that this has are all by accounts with 0 comments and they all rated several of the same albums within a short timeframe of each other. probably just a weird coincidence though.

This is better than Restoring Force what are you people talking about.
Not at the level of the Self Titled or even close to the Flood, but this is still fuckin' lit.
Fuck, I'm the only non troll rating above a 3.

Album reminds me of shit like TrustCompany's The Lonely Position of Neutral, and I fucking love it.

Bouncy riffs, airy vocals, the incredibly similar guitar tone?
This is a metalcore tinged version of LPON

My first reaction when I first heard "Real" was "It doesn't even sound like the BAND likes this song very much"... everything about it sounded so damn flat and uninspired, the vocals and instrumentation were passionless, and the lyrics were ripped out of a 12-year-old's diary even more than those on Restoring Force.
Turns out those are pretty much the "themes" of this album. I keep trying to find saving graces that last more than a few seconds in these songs, and keep coming up short. Austin's new screaming "style" that he frequently uses sounds almost as dreadful as his boring as hell cleans... and Aaron, who's usually a bright spot just by virtue of, y'know, actually being a good vocalist, sounds bored as hell singing those cliched hooks. God, what a mess. I'm not a huge Restoring Force defender, but it was still a lot more solid than THIS.

God, this is like the absolute worst parts of radio rock of the last few years, all in one album... just regurgitating ideas with no creativity or original thought.

Or capturing what made the more radio-friendly side of early 2000s nu-metal entertaining in the first place.

There's only one track that I thought was even decent, and that was The Lie. Even that was pretty bad though, this album is definitely the worst I've heard all year. No variation on the guitars, the drums were boring as all hell, the vocals were awful from both vocalists, etc.

"The vocals were awful from both vocalists."
We must be hearing two different vocalists because the clean vocal interplay between Aaron and Austin is fantastic.
"No variation on the guitars"
Fun riffs aplenty here.
"Drums were boring as all hell"
Could have been more varied I'll give you that one. But they're entertaining enough to get the job done.
Nowhere near the worst of the year.
