Good review Brendan, you are totally right about the album art and the sound of the album, it's soooooo gloomy and dark. The only thing I am not enjoying is the drum sound, but apart from that, she owns it.

this reminds me a lot of the "heavier" tracks on Chelsea Wolfe's Apokalypsis album (like Pale on Pale), in a very good way.

Agreed. This is one of the very few albums of this kind that could have been released in the '90s and I'd still enjoy it so much.

tbh I only checked some isolated tracks from Unholy Majesty and Golden Shroud and the latter was absolute nuts.

Just checked part of Golden Shroud and it's rather interesting indeed, what she does with her voice. Don't know if it was enjoyable or not but it's interesting.

Yeah man, check Unholy Majesty first, I think it serves as a build up for the madness in Golden Shroud.
