.neon is their best by far imo, Melting Sun is great for what it is. Agape is also great, but I can't help but feel like it's a weaker version of .neon, musically. I hardly ever return to it because whenever I'm in the mood for it I'll choose .neon over it.

nah, they're okay

Definitely not bad, in fact their first release is a pretty masterful combination of music and drawn artwork, Fursey is a talented dude.
|
| |
yes, Fursey is a good musician, but he's one of the very best cover artists. probably the best.

It's impossible to choose a best, but he's fantastic. Some of my favorites are Les Voyages de L'âme and his recent Agalloch and Empyrium cover art. Very talented artist with a great imagination.

I don't like the reinvention of Les Discrets. Alcest is climbing the ladder to god's heaven with Kodama and Les Discrets probably won't with their new album "Prédateurs" in early 2017 because of the not great foretaste this EP has but we will hear. Why trip-hop?! I want the old Les Discrets back with more post-rock and less vocals or maybe more background vocals (choral singing, no words etc)

I mean Fursy could pull off trip hop I think, they just haven't done it right. Darker trip hop with those great vox might be cool, though I would love a more rock-based Les Discrets much more.
|
| |
wait... les discrets went trip hop? wtf
|
| |
apparently. Fursy had been talking about wanting to do it since like 2013 lol.
