Vorel, Afrika, Lisboa are my top 3.

This one took a while to grow on me, but I find myself coming back to it again and again.

don't think everything ballou produces sounds the same at all tbh. this does not sound the same as say like... the last code orange record or the last every time i die record at all.

Overboard is the only weak track to me. Everything else is sublime.

I haven't heard Empros, but this is slightly better (and much more cohesive) than Geneva, and waaay better than Memorial tbh

this ended up better executed than Memorial but they're not that far from quality. Memorial only suffers from being too short and only having 5/7 of it being worthwhile.

this is definitely their best yet, though they captured good magic on the first record.

everything this band does is in the 3.5-4.0 range for me, and this is no exception. It's great but that's about it, nothing surprising or overly impressive, just another consistently really good album - kind of frustrating that they never seem to break through the 4.0 ceiling - just my opinion

I had a bit of difficulty getting into these guys before, but they've been lurking in my conscience since I first came across 'Death Rides A Horse'.

This just felt so easy to love.

i was actually thinking the production on this holds it back just a smidge, had no idea it was ballou until now

nah these guys have had their ups and downs but chevelle has always been consistently average so chevelle wins
