"the legs on that damn drummer must be more muscular then a Kenyan olympic runner"

lol it's heal-toe technique it doesn't require nearly as much exertion as playing straight up singles with heal up

Yeah that would make more sense, even so there are still points where the stamina and speed are pretty damn impressive even with that technique in mind.

I mean you clearly think this is better which is fine w/ me

But imo this is like what became of Spongecore; amusing in a small dose, then terribly excessive and obnoxious

I can easily see why you or anyone wouldn't like this, as you said it is extremely excessive, kind of the whole deal with IA. If going completely over the top for the sake of it wasn't your thing then this would be the worst thing to jam.

Bands can go over the top (I like RoS for crying out loud), but this does push it for me.

In fact besides these guys I'm pretty much with you on not liking 'extreme for extremes sake' kind of stuff. Most tech death turns me away for that reason.

"Bands can go over the top (I like RoS for crying out loud), but this does push it for me."

Yeah I get that. Way I see it with IA is if you're going to overdo it, you may as well go allll the way. The fact they don't take themselves even remotely seriously and realise themselves how ridiculous this stuff is makes them the one band I turn to for overindulgence. End of the day I think they're both great musicians capable of pulling something like this off, coupled with Dickey's vocals this is imo about as good as this kind of mess can get. Either way it's a bit of fun.

Holy shit that one handed stroke kitscher pulled of was ridiculous. Also even with heel toe technique his blast beats are impressive.
