Great review man. I completely agree that the weakness in the album is that some of their songs come off as fillers and lack the energy of Cheap Beer or Cocaine. I think it's less of the surf rock sound and more of the folksiness of some of the later tracks. No Waves seems intentionally subdued but I think that Whore and 5 to 9 have that same surf vibe but are some of the best tracks on the album.

Seeing these guys on Saturday with my friend and I'm so pumped. I introduced them to him and they're one of his all time favorites now. Also, pretty sure he's never been to a concert before. It'll be my second time seeing them, saw them at Riot Fest the first time, so it was a bit impersonal, but man was it so fucking fun. I imagine it'll be even better in an indoor venue where.
