Why you would even bother listening to this is my question.

I absolutely hated their debut, is this even remotely better or should I steer clear.

it's about the same level of awful except it might get a plus .1 if it doesn't end up clogging up the radio anytime soon

So yeah I'm gonna steer clear of this then, their debut was almost a perfect representation of what I hate in pop music.

this trend of alternative indie music folk enough to be rural but not folk enough to be mumford and sons flavor of vocal limiter reverb vocoding pop pish posh needs to die.

First it was Imagine Dragons, then it was this, and then it was X Ambassadors. When does it stop?

I have no idea why this started trending in the mainstream, but something else needs to trend quick in the pop scene. I genuinely enjoy a lot of pop, but this is one period of pop history that I just can't get behind.

I blame It's Time, that song was MASSIVE and American Author's Best Day of My Life tried so hard to capture that sound.

No but seriously, fuck Imagine Dragons and fuck this trend of pseudo indie pop, made with the sole intention of being played on tweens' phones and getting laid.

@SPRFanOf5H Isn't a lot of music made with the sole intention of getting laid?

"Best Day of My Life" sounds like an imagine dragons cover band, sure, but i think people overlook how many bands of the late 00's this sounds like a more watered down version of... Vampire Weekend, Little Comets, Locksley, etc.

My friend had to edit a wedding video to "The Best Day of My Life." Possibly one of the worst songs to listen to on repeat.
