I think the fact that you are digging Riff Raff's Peach Panther is hilariously ironic as I try and explain Logic's reasoning for creating a mixtape with trap/turn up songs to try and grow a brand. Of all the rappers I have listened to (more than Drake/Future/Lil Uzi Vert) I think Riff Raff best exemplifies branding oneself to gain followers. I literally think he is putting on an act to sell slap you in the head dumb raps. He is basically on the opposite side of the spectrum for me in comparison to Logic. Even if Riff Raff is putting on an elaborate show to achieve fame and fortune I think Logic has more to be proud of in terms of establishing a fan base with quality rap songs and not an iced out costume with amusingly stupid lyrics. I don't think I can argue with someone who claims Logic is a bad lyricist/rapper when they are listening to an artist whose hook is "only American's eat duck sauce" and whose verses include Dr. Seuss rhymes like "take me out to eat, buy Versace for my feet"

riff raff is a straight parody of hip hop cliches that doubles as a incredibly competent/talented writer and rapper behind his persona, logic is taking himself seriously. theres your difference.

logic just sucks, weak lyrics, plastic production, rips offs other artists constantly, over-glossy, weak bragging attempts, tries to impress you with a substance-less flow

hes got barely any good songs and many of his lyrics/phrases/rhyme schemes are pretty stupid and generic, hes just a boring hack

Has anyone listened to Logic's young sinatra tapes? Who do you all find to be good hip/hop artists out of curiosity? I am a huge logic fan obviously but I like other rappers as well

Logic barely gets any love in his home state. We don't fuck with him down here but we listen to the people he tries to emulate lol. We see through this corny dude and we're not having it.

@Alex born in DC but I'm all around the DMV area. I live in MD but I've been hopping around the area all my life. This dude has no clout down here lol. I've heard people shut his music off at parties lmao. You'd think this is the place where he'd get shine but nah.

Yeah seeing as he's pretty much the only rapper to come out of Maryland and really make it big, he doesn't get a lot of love here. Hell, even Machine Gun Kelly gets loads of love in Cleveland and even got to perform at a Browns game.
