I'd heard of Camel before, but this is My first time listening to them. Like you said in the review, they were not as well known as Yes or Genisis. But listening to this now, I have to wonder why. This is brilliant.

Looking forward to it-- especially if, like you say, it's better than this one.

Agreed, but you cannot go without naming Moonmadness.

Also, what a solid discography they have. Albums are all 3.5 or above to me, except for The Single Factor and Breathless.

Moonmadness is a master piece too

I'll name the debut too only cause it is overlooked as hell. On the same level as their three classics

I have hard time to retain the songs of their debut album. They kinda sound all the same to me. I know and love each and every notes of ''Never Let Go''. Could you name me couple of other highlights so I could try to concentrate on songs other than ''Never Let Go''...

Thanks Twig. Sorry, but I only now saw your comments, right now.

I agree with Jethro and SirLord. Their four first albums are brilliant and belong to their golden era. All deserve to be listen. However and unlike many other bands, Camel returned in great shape in the end of their career. Their four last original albums, I mean, "Dust And Dreams", "Harbour Of Tears", "Rajaz" and "A Nod And A Wink" are also brilliants, in its own way. Anyway, almost all of their discography, deserve to be listened.

If you want, you can read my two reviews about "Dust And Dreams" and "Harbour Of Tears", here on Sputnik.

Cheers, dude.

Went to check out your suggestions, but Spotify only has their 80s albums--plus two versions of The Snow Goose (Deluxe Edition and Rarities Edition). I guess I'll binge on The Snow Goose until I can get the others... liking this a little more every time I play it.

Yeah, you can bet on it, Twig.

Anyway, you can listen some of their albums on Youtube. For instance, you can listen to the full albums "Nude" and "Stationary Traveller", two great prog albums of the 80's. By the way, "Nude" will be my next review, here on Sputnik, in the beggining of July. Another Camel's conceptual album, man.

Go ahead with Camel. I'm sure you will not regret. As I said before, Camel is the band of the 70's that I've more pleasure to listen to, in these days.

Cheers, mate.
