first two are still killer though

I'm not a huge fan of the second album. I love the opening song and there are a few other decent songs, but I actually like the three that came after it more.

"They Should at least be as well known as bands like Testament."
No I don't think so. Testament only has 1 bad album, whereas Flotsam only has 2 good albums. They don't belong anywhere near an amazing band like Testament. And I'm a really big fan of "Doomsday For the Deceiver," as well as "No Place For Disgrace."

That depends on opinion. Testament are definitely the more consistent band, but personally, I appreciate Flotsam's albums more than Testament's.

Very old school,

Not entirely, though. There are definitely some modern influences and elements.

The most old school song on the album is Forbidden Territories.

Best drumming in their career. I don't like the song "Iron Maiden" for the vocals and lamely sung chorus, but the album is pretty tight.

Yup not too much but I hear some old school thrash in Forbidden Territories and Time to Go. kinda nostalgic.

Yep. Definitely their best drummer and probably the most thrash they've had in an album since Metal Blade Pt II. They should tour with Anthrax and steal some of their fans.

First two and Cuatro are their best albums.

Naa. Only first two albums.

No way. Their first five are all underrated.

Drift is good too.

Drift is their fifth album. Definitely including that one in my list of underrated Flotsam albums. And The Cold is their most overlooked album. Fans of Nevermore should love that album.

I was talking to Maco097. The Cold is my favorite vocal performance from Erik A. It's a moody record too.

I agree. That album definitely features his best vocal performance. This one has its moments too. 'Verge of Tragedy' for sure.

I probably wouldn't look at these guys the same without Erik. He fits like a glove no matter what they do with their music (except when it's shit haha).

Yeah. When he left for a little while, even the band realized he was the one guy they couldn't replace. He pretty much is Flotsam. The only one (I think) that has been on every release.
