lol, my fave songs are:
Seperation of Church and Skate
American Errorist
We got two jealouse agains ( a song with almost all of the lyrics being punk rock albums)
Irrationality of Rationality
Regaining Un-Consiousness

Best two songs are:
Seperation of Church and Skate - Great song about how punk rock lost it's way. Some of the best lyrics I've ever heard on a NoFX album
Franco Un-American - Again, great lyrics. Poppy new wave never sounded better. "The president's laughing 'cause he voted for Nader" is probably one of the most memorable lines, along with "I eat no breathmints 'cause they're from de-hoofed horses" and "Let the whales worry 'bout the poisons in the sea/Outside of California, it's foreign policy".
The rest of the songs are good, but these two are the best.
Dad: Hey kids.
Kids: Hey dad.
Dad: What do you wanna do today?
Kids: We don't know
Dad: Do you wanna go to the matinee?
Kids: No.
Dad: Do you wanna go to the amusement park?
Kids: No.
Dad: Do you wanna go to the punk rock show?
Kids: Yeah, let's go to the punk rock show
Lost in a sea of combat boots
Flush the bouncers with wasted youth
When did punk rock become so safe?
When did the scene become a joke?
The kids who used to live for beer and speed
Now want their fries and coke
Cursing and flipping birds are not allowed
In fact let's keep noise levels down
Must separate the church and skate!
Why don't we put pads on the kids?
Helmets, head gear and mouth pieces!
Then we could pad the floor and walls
Put cameras inside bathroom stalls
We make sure only nice bands play
Make every show a matinee
Teach kids to be all they can be
And we could sing "My Country 'Tis Of Thee"
Sweet land of liberty
When did punk rock become so safe?
I know it wasn't Duane or Fletcher
Who put up the barricades
Like a stake in the heart
Somehow we got driven apart
I want conflict! I want dissent!
I want the scene to represent
Our hatred of authority
Our fight against complacency
Stop singing songs about girls and love!
You killed the owl! You freed the dove!
Confrontation and politics...
Replaced with harmonies and shticks
When did punk rock become so tame?
These f.ucking bands all sound the same
We want our fights we want our thugs!
We want our burns we want our drugs!
Where is the violent apathy?!
THESE F.UCKING RECORDS ARE RATED G!!
When did punk rock become so safe?!

I think theres some E-Bow in The Irrationality Of Rationality in the breakdown part. E-Bow's own. i like this album. best pop punk album within the past couple years
|
| |
i give it a 3.5 out of 5......cuz george w. is a dick and fat mike gives the fact a lot of attention. highlights i would say would be she's nubs, medio-core, idiots are taking over, the irrationality of rationality. true that there are better nofx albums tho
|
| |
i think that this is one of their best albums
i give it a 9/10 because she's nubs is kinda a stupid song
|
| |
American Errorist (I Hate Hate Haters) best song on the album. whole album i wud give 3/5

NOFX is dead to me.
Actually not, but they definitely were not up to snuff on this album. Has anybody been following the 7" of the month club?

One of my favorite NOFX albums
She's Nubs is the best song on this album

Worst 'political' album ever.
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.0
hmmm, as a political album its nothing impressive. as all, just the same ol' anti-bush jargon.
musically though, it's pretty strong; there's some great jazz/ska influences on this one. "13 stitches" is undeniably catchy.
|
| |
i like this album better than most nofx ones becuz they show more musical talent like the cool guitar riff on "separation..." and the opening bass in "idiots are taking over"
|
| |
I really think that NOFX is going further and further downhill with each album release.
NOFX politics are awful, but they always have been so I don't see why that's something new to anyone.
There are a few catchy pop songs that I enjoy, but this album lacks everything that NOFX used to have.
