Yellow King is probably my favorite here

The metalhead inside of me just cannot embrace the fact that this album is rated higher than New Demons.

But the metalcore aspect was the weaker aspect of their sound, and they distanced themselves from that here; which is why it's better than New Demons.

Besides All In, this album is fantastic. Love it.

The album is fine, although there really isn't a lot in the way of standouts. Gotta say that Yellow King is a highlight track.

@BlackMalachite, you think so? IMHO their chugs were pretty decent.

Really, really good. This band has always been a guilty pleasure of mine but since these last two albums they don't have to be a guilty pleasure anymore :]

Oh hush. You probably loved them prior to new demons. Most everyone did but didn't wanna admit it. At least I did.

I actually like their first couple of albums a lot more than their last couple of albums. Although Murder Mittens is definitely my fav song from them.

After how much I inexplicably liked New Demons after not caring for the band before that album, I was hesitantly expecting to like this. I wasn't wrong.

This is their best album yet. This sounds suits them so much better than electro-metalcore, even though they still retain that in some aspects. This is more pop focused and agree with what one user said about using a "darker synth" sound is better than the techno/dub-step sounds of previous albums. The vocals sound less whiny. Also when he does scream, its more unexpected because it is used sparingly and smartly to increase the edge of the song.

I think this is what End of the World Party should've sounded like. I loved their debut and every album after End of the World Party as well, but didn't dig it (End of the World Party) so much. Sounded like The Click Five if they went trancecore (lightly on the core). I think this is how you go more commercial with electronic metalcore more so than the former. This album rules

Had this on repeat the last week. In my top 5 so far this year

I liked this a fair amount. I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed some of thearlier stuff but they started to get kinda stale. One thing I always gave them credit for, though, was the fact that they at least had a good screamer. Surprised at how little the screams were on this. Made sense considering their direction change. "All in" was just so much garbage, but everything else was pretty good. They could probably just cut out the electronic infused breakdowns at this point, though. Every time they kick in on here it seems completely out of place.

such an enjoyable album, except for a few sore spots (e.g. All In)
kinda wish they made better use of Luke Holland given how good his drumming can be
