Really liking this. It's the more mellow Circa-esque tracks that really stand out for me. Second Guesses and Stutter Says A Lot rule. Some really solid tracks on here.

Agreed Gyro. It's a very easy listen, for better and for worse.

This is not as good as i hoped it to be. Tracks 4-7 are rather Circa Survive than Saosin tracks imo. If the guitar play doesn't reach the level of songs like "Illusion and Control" or "Drinking from the Fountain" there is only this awesome drummer left to save them. As much as i like Green, i fear his songwriting is getting worse, also looking at the latest Circa albums.

Still a good album though!

it got alot worse. vocals on this album mostly sound the same. really boring melody work. Also sounds more subdued like they're being hummed instead of belted which creates a disconnect between the vocals and the pace of the music behind them. but the music behind them is also boring and generic esp in 2016

Eh. Only a couple standouts. Mostly average filler.

reads more like a 4 to me [3]

...at least the last paragraph does. At the start you capture well the point that this album may be riding on nostalgia as much as actual quality.

I'll split the difference and rate it 3.5 for now, but it's growing on me with each listen

I really enjoyed this, though I think the second half is more interesting musically. I also greatly appreciated Green's performance on this. He sounds like he has a lot of passion on this, which is more than I can say for the last couple Circa albums (even though I enjoyed those decently enough). I'm not sure why they chose to leave the bonus tracks off the standard edition, as I feel they're some of the strongest tracks on the album.

Exactly how I feel. Big fan of Circa and Anthony Green but never really liked Saosin.

TSOAF is by far the best project Green has been involved in, wish he would have put all his time into that instead.

I wanted to love this, too many songs seem to aimlessly play out, not enough diversity, the further into the album I got the more I started having deja vu that I've heard all these songs already.
