this review is overblown, preposterous and most of the time it reads like satire.
You know that just because you have a boner the music isn't automatically good right?

Surprised the album is getting such good reception, but I'm not complaining; it's a great album.

"Is this album better than E MO TION?"
For my money, yes, but I don't think a majority of people would agree with that sentiment.

"Screw the stereotype." Seriously, how much are these users paid to publish a propaganda text sent to them by the prod ? Because I take mastercards.

the implication that there's anything dangerous about your run of the mill nick/disney popstar is hilarious to me

It's not dangerous, or risky, or edgy in the slightest.
It's just really fun, really catchy pop

Hey if you guys didn't like the review, best thing to do for me is send me constructive feedback. That's something that definitely helps. Look if whoever wanted to have this review featured thought it was great, honestly I feel accomplished by that.

I like this a bit more than E MO TION, but they are both super strong pop releases.

@tommygun: Maybe suggest where I didn't talk about the music in this review? I mixed it with the discussion of her past which connects to the music itself, I couldn't overload it horribly I needed to balance it. I love to hear your thoughts though so it can help me for future reads.

I'd like to point out that SPR has been nothing but courteous and has been asking for feedback. Dude's a great guy and he goes out of his way to improve so I'd encourage you guys to help him out instead of merely saying that you dislike it.

Thanks Surco for the defense I appreciate that a lot, I'm pretty flexible with criticism of course. I'm just curious into what is the root of it, because if this can be featured even though it got pulled for whatever reason it may be, then I can feel like I did do a good effort with this.

Okay since I agree with Scuro about you being always receptive to feedback and trying to improve as a writer, here is what is wrong with this review in my opinion (keep in mind that I'm by no means a good reviewer myself so take it for what it's worse)
It is too long. Not because you used too many words, but because half of the time you talk about stuff that isn't really relevant to the album. Giving a bit of a background on the artist is fine and all, but the first 1 1/2 paragraphs are way to much.
It is too focused on Ariana Grande as a person. This goes hand in hand with my first gripe. You waste time/space with talking about her motivations. (and you constantly come back to it as well) You compare her (flatteringly) to Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony (if those two acts are feminist btw, then just lol), talk about "pro-feminist" messaging that is supposed to be on this album (which is a bit of pandering to the zeitgeist if you ask me). And you do all of this in a style of writing that I can only describe as a bit cringey because you seem so in awe of her. You generally seem to be very approving of the (pretty safe) "feminist messaging" on this album and take jabs at this multiple times. Regardless of whether you think that there is a need for "feminist" albums by obscenely rich, uber-successful, pop starlets (hint: I do not) there is a case to be made for keeping your personal identity politics to yourself in a music review. It's not like this Ariana Grande album couldn't possibly be discussed without going into it, because the "politic messaging" is so important to the albums essence.
When you DO talk about her music your giant boner for her is too apparent, I'm sorry but there is hardly another way to read this review when there are multiple phrases like this:
"come away in awe with from her angelic beauty"
"Grande follows it but also treads the scandalous road as well, dripping the innocence away with an ounce of gauging sex appeal"
" The sexiness engaged full-throttle when she yields to her raciness in the futuristic, sensual..."
Also, your review is to fanboyish to be a 3.5 imo.
