Yeah Tom sounds horrible, he sounded much better on the final Blink album.

I dunno, he sounded like Jerry Lewis on I Miss You. I must say though, that's a pretty good song.

yeah i admit, i was pretty dissapointed. i mean no doubt, this album is awesome. but tom was all like "this music will change your life, make you cry, change the way you look at things, change music forever etc." tom definatly overhyped it, but in the end its still a good album.

Tom DeLonge is full of ****.

You're full of ****.

I saw the video for "Adventure" and I liked it. I think I just might have to check this stuff out.

i would kinda figure someone that didnt MAKE the album should decide if it is the best rock album in decades... they didnt even come close to any of nirvana's albums... thats not to say that i dont like the album. i think the album is good, not one of my favorites, but good nonethelessThis Message Edited On 05.24.06

Ummm Yeah, THIS IS NOT THE BEST ALBUM EVER. With such rock albums from Led Zeppelin, Queen, and other bands, this is mediocre. But this is still a pretty good CD. Not as good as Blink 182, not by a mile. Same with the Offspring. But it is a good album. It's along the same lines of Blink 182's last album - which wasn't up to standards. It even sounds the same, what with the depressed tone in contrast to the usual upbeat punk music.

This should be the disclaimer attached to all copies of the album.

The genres AVA fall into according to Real/Rhapsody:
Emo
Art/Prog Rock
Rock/Pop

This CD isn't very good

I think Tom is being a massive dick when it comes to this, seeing as his voice leading any band will probably end in it's being sucky.

Not Emo. Not Prog Rock. Pop-punk in outerspace, if you aske me.

His voice at least sounds honest and not forced. I love this album, haven't listened to it enough to come up with a rating yet.

i felt the same way as you guys when i first heard them. amazing (although slightly overdone) use of delay, powerful drums, and incredibly polished mixdown. however, when i heard delonge start in with his whiny voice and lyrics, i decided i was going to hate them.

however, i ended up giving them a second chance and buying the album, and i have to say that tom's voice has really grown on me. this album has been spinning in my cd player for a few days now, and it gets better every time

tom delonge is still a doosh for hyping it the way he did. if theres anything worse than hype, its self-hype. of all the similarities they have to U2, the self-centered frontman is the most obvious one.
