Yeah agreed with your songs selection and with your bumping. There's so much to enjoy from this album.
Also, the cover art speaks for itself as well, can you see...

Yeah you're right, I was forgetting about that one. Even the album title has a correlation with this one here. It obviously has something to do with Portnoy's departure.

Gave this another listen, The 1-2-3 ending of "C'est le Bon", "Waiting So Long" and "Don't Leave Me Now" is very good. My 2.5 rating was definitely too harsh.

@ Jethro
I must confess that of the 4 albums of Supertramp without Hodgson, I only know, very well, "Brother Where You Bound". Sincerely, I never had a great interest in listen to those other albums.
About "Brother Where you Bound", I must admit that it isn't really a bad album. It has even some goog musical moments. However, despite its title track, which is really a great epic that remembers us the good old times of Supertramp, the rest is less memorable, especially in terms of prog.
I'm really glad that "Some Things Never Change" be also a good album. When I have time and patience maybe I can listen to it for the first time.

@ Titan
Thanks man. I'm very glad you liked the review. However, I'm with Jethro. Like him, I always prefered "Crime Of The Century", "Even In The Quietest Moments" and "Crisis? What Crisis?". Anyway, I think your rating ia really very good to this album.
About the departure Of Portnoy of Dream Theater, I must confess that I never thought about that correlation.
Cheers.

@ TWIG
I'm very glad that you changed your rating of the album to 3.0. 2.5 was almost offensive to a good album, at least. I think i deserves more, but 3.0 is the minimum to this album.
Cheers, man.

I would 3.3 it if I could. I wish there was a rating between 3 (good) and 3.5 (great), because some albums are 'very good'--so I wish we had a number to reflect that.

Ok, man. I can see your point of view. Anyway, I still think 3.5 it would be a more fair rating. But you're right. Sometimes it's difficult to rate an album when we compare it with some others.

Along with Goodbye Stranger, Waiting So Long is one of the great guitar moments Supertramp had

Yeah but it's hard to reach the same level as the endless one in Goodbye Stranger. Endlessly enjoyable I mean.

GOODBYE MARY GOODBYE JANE
WILL WE EVER MEET AGAINNNNN
''Put on your old brown shoes'' and ''My kind of lady'' are the only weak songs on here imo. Even not too bad...
Long live the Hodgson' compos! Oh wait, ''Waiting so long'' was penned by Davies...
