Best Three:

1. Nothing To Gein

2. Severed

3. Cradle

Worst Three:

1. Everything and Nothing

2. Under My Skin

3. -1

i see you like my top 3 endings. nice review btw, but i wouldn't say this album is the best nu-metal album. there are too many different albums, like Hybrid Theory, white Pony (my choice), Slipknot S/T, Toxicity or System of a down S/T, Korn s/T.

Read what I said in my review about Everything and Nothing and Under My Skin, I explained it. They aren't nearly as complex as the other. They aren't terrible, but the other songs kill them. Just a note- I don't consider System of a Down nu-metal, but I do like Toxicity a tiny bit more than this album. Hybrid Theory is so much different than this album, it's amazing thier in the same genre. I like Hybrid Theory... but nowhere near L.D. 50.This Message Edited On 05.23.06

Well, I had to give some songs a less-than-perfect rating otherwise the ratings wouldn't mean anything.

It only doesnt mean anything if you cant back it up. If you can state facts that explain why you rated them like that then its ok.

You all saw me back up my opinion in the review. I got to admit it: -1 isn't my favorite song in the world. I'm tired of defending myself for that. If you want to know why: look in the review.

He was just saying that because you said you couldn't give every single one a classic score, which you can. He was saying if you like a song then rate it how you want, don't lower it because you feel you have too.

I had a listen through the whole album today, and needless to say, I'm not terribly impressed. I can acknowledge some of the points you and other reviewers made about the album, but overall I just couldn't bring myself to like it.

The album felt very ugly overall. I tend to prefer music with at least some beauty in it. The album sort of reminded me of the shootout in the film Heat. Sure there may be plenty of themes and intricate ideas embedded in it, but it cannot hide the fact that it is overbearing and ugly.

Much of the vocal variety felt forced, variation for variations sake. It is nice to mix things up, but not if it takes away from the overall sound. Some of the guitar tones that weren't distortedx100 were quite nice, but they were just brief reliefs from the onslaught.

When you walk into a clothing store, you don't want to be confronted by assistants shouting "YOU'RE UGLY" at you. When I listen to music, I don't want a bunch of aggrivated musicians essentially pounding me into the ground with their music. Although I guess it'd be good for releasing tension.

It just really isn't my type of thing. This Message Edited On 05.24.06

If that's the case, you must not like any metal.

Mudvayne is complicated only in their time signatures. Guitar-wise, I mean.

Are you kidding? The lyrics are complicated, the bass playing is definately complicated, the drumming is complicated, and the guitar is too. Just because he doesn't play technically amazing stuff doesn't mean it's not complicated.
