Only pos if you thought the review was any good, id actually prefer my reviews get negged if people actually think they are bad. I mean some feedback would be nice from the people who negged, i only ever neg if i also have feedback to give just negging and not saying anything is sorta pointless

Well I like different sorts of reviews, and conversational ones (like this) are great as far as I'm concerned. Swear words (like here) are fine, having a laugh is fine too. I prefer a unique voice I feel is coming from somewhere natural rather than a 'professional for the sake of it' write up though those can be ok too sometimes. Some of these things might upset some users here though I suppose.
Not getting to the root of what your opinion is the cardinal sin to writing reviews I guess - wishy washy bs and padding
I knew pretty much exactly what this would sound like from the review (phrases like 'ADHD' 'nostalgia' and 'skankiest rave' paint the picture before you even start breaking down the sentences) and why you liked it, plus it was fun to read.

Yeah I pos'd cos you wrote well, counter-intuitive to neg based on your opinion on the album, that's what the rating system is for. I'm not sure I've ever negged anything, you can offer critique without it.

conversational tones in reviews are the best for me i find them much more natural to read as well as being easier to write
some of my other reviews have a more professional tone such as my Dismemberment plan review, but sometimes i think a conversational tone is called for when the album doesnt lend itself easily to a professional setting, such as albums like this or ones that have an element of nostalgia and personal meaning for the reviewer
