It may resist for me since I dig tracks like Blood On My Hands, that one is so chilled out at times.

Best album since LttN, if Am I Evil doesn't count. Borrowed Time isn't bad at all but I'm not keen on its production, thanks to Am I Evil.

(if this doesn't tire me, that is)

Not gonna lie this is already stagnating a bit, tracks 6~8 especially. My faves now are Bones, Shout at the Devil, Blood on my Hands, Diamonds and Silence. Still great but that middle-ish section felt much more digestible at first.

Yeah, Sucking My Love has as many great riffs as other bands' whole discogs.

And agreed Sab, this might become a bit tiresome close to the end due to a couple of weaker and samey tracks.

"So next time you decide to criticize Lars Ulrich because of his drumming, think of where Metallica recorded their most classic material, the nationality of their co-producer and if that is a coincidence."

That is so true man. Unfortunately, talent and songwriting skills end up in the recycle bin if the band doesn't know how to handle management issues and marketing.

Exactly. Like any other business, a good idea means nothing if the personnel lacks implementation skills and a well-rounded approach. At least, these older guys had the opportunity to earn good money and live from their music, unlike their modern contemporaries.

Very solid album. I wonder why someone would rate it with 1 tbh.

Pretty good album. "Silence" is actually one of my favorites.

I agree with those who say that it might be their best since their debut.

Andersen sounds just like Sean Harris in his prime. It's possible that Tatler was looking for something like that when he was searching for a new vocalist.

Sweet! I was reading a Brian Tatler interview the other day about how these guys recorded Lightning to the Nations and what they did to promote themselves at the time and I truly felt bad about Tatler. He was totally oblivious about how to promote his music and with the business side of his band. Such a shame.
