These guys were great live. Davey had so much fun which means I had so much fun, and fun is a good thing. Setlist was a good blend of their discography

I'd change my top 5 to something like
5 Curious Friends
4 Black at The Center
3 Waiting to Be Told
2 First to Love
1 Material
Honestly an EP for these 5 would have been cool with me. The top 3 especially hold up the best.

Still, I'd say the album as a whole is pretty great and I kinda feared it would grow off of me but I'm always happy to come back to it. The last two albums just felt much more impactful

I’m sincerely upset with myself for not giving this album more of a chance. This and bright black heaven are incredible.

Only Things We Love is definitely better than this. may even be BBH level with more listens

It's going to take a few listens for Only Things We Love to sink in. There's definitely less melody on it than there was on Material. Nothing as immediately catchy as First To Love or Ceremonial. But not everything needs to be catchy to be good. It just takes longer to appreciate. Jade definitely seems to be trying a lot of new things. My early favorites are Unstained, Caroline in the Clip, Maker, and Dark Arcades.

I'm really liking Enemies Forever, Dark Times at the Berlin Wall, and Matrimony and Dust as well after a few listens. I also like Infinite Skin as an opening track too. It's a pretty well balanced album actually but those last four tracks are all killer.

I love the dreamy vibes on the new one. The first 3 tracks on Material are top tier levels of catchy but I feel like the choruses on OTWL are so much more rewarding. Dark Arcades, Summer's Out of Sight, and Muscle and Matter are my favorites but honestly I really love all of the non-singles minus Matrimony

I wish Matrimony had a bigger chorus but I still really like the sound of it.
Dark Times at the Berlin Wall is one of the most fun songs these guys have ever done and it has an edge to it too. same with Enemies Forever.

Saw them in SD tonight. The setlist was awesome. They played Cities of Night and Wake Up... from CexCells which are two of my favorites from that album. And Everybody's Friends from BBH which is probably my second favorite on that album. And they played First To Love as well as Graphic Violence for the first time! Plus all four of the new songs that they dropped before the album came out. They all sounded great. They opened with The Viles which was an excellent choice.

I figured they'd open with The Viles, that's hype!
I was trying to steer clear of the setlist but woah, Wake Up...? I'm gonna cry

Infinite Skin is my fav non-single on first listen through. I'm still just jamming Okay, Alex hard though. Love that song. This new BA feels particularly mid-tempo and poppy, and I dig it.
