this album is honestly just not edgy enough

it does nothing to separate itself from the hordes of other musicians emulating 80s synth pop, and the problem with that is that it lacks the reverby aesthetic that made those albums great in the 80s and does nothing to balance that out by doing anything very interesting with the super polished aesthetic. Neon Indians new album is the epitome of how to emulate the 80s and make it fresh and interesting and this album is the epitome of how to emulate the 80s and make it homogenous and honestly kind of cringey.

at least other synth pop inspired artists like karin park and empress of and kate boy are putting a modern spin on it, these guys are just doing it passe

so no its not good

really the only good thing about this is that Mai Lan features on like 4 songs

laser gun is a good song

honestly just download the album and then delete every song except laser gun and ur good 2 go
