Surprisingly this didn't annoy me and actually ends up being fine for what it is

Yeah, tepid is a fair adjective to describe this album

"sexy men with sexy lives having lots of sexy sex with their sexy girlfriends"

Can't say it's wrong. Turner's been on the "creative language, cryptic metaphors and Girls Girls Girls" route since at least Suck It and See, probably even Humbug.

Singles sound lush, even if Kane got the short straw on Bad Habits. Might check it out.

Is this really bad ?

Miracle Aligner is such a jam, but now I'm scared to check this out.

This album makes a lot more sense to me post-TBHC. When it was released I couldn’t get into it but now I find myself coming back to some of the tracks more. Miracle Aligner, Sweet Dreams TN, and The Dream Synopsis are all great. I think it also helps to discard all the bonus tracks and keep it to a brisk 37 minutes.

edit: Looked up the credits and the three tracks I mentioned are the three Miles Kane didn’t have a hand in writing. I guess that kind of says it all.
