they definitely made some bad decisions here. for instance, the opener track using horns. they dont have a classy sound that should have instruments like horns and piano and shit. it should sound bedroomy and garagey and sloppy.

Yeah i messed up. Wild Things Run Free is it, but Obvious Love is another electronic type song and i don't really care for it either.

It's just a pop song rules besides that one cringe lyric

"do you wanna come over? I've got 3 Netflix accounts

and we can watch a different show on each screen"

I dig the opener but that whole part in general with the horns comes out of nowhere, and indeed sounds kinda out of place despite it imo still sounding nice

fuck yeah for ghost orchard, gotta listen to that. however, better than the big joyous celebration? that's a tough thing to achieve.

EDIT: oh my fucking god the new ghost orchard might really top this, it's definitely his best and i'm still astounded as to how good it fucking is

Honestly this contains some amazing songs that rivals the quality of their old material there is just way too much filler. I can't even listen to this album unless i make a playlist of the songs i like, listening to this in full is such a jarring chore.

Even though i said this a chore to jam in full it's a 3.5 due to the amount of songs i do love. It's kinda a hard album for me to rate.

Yo everyone should go see Teen Suicide If they come near you. I caught them last night and they absolutely killed it. So much energy to their performance, all their songs had a nice edge to them.

They played old stuff, new stuff, and quite a few from this but it was definitely the best cuts and most of the songs from here sounded even better live.
