enjoyed this review. some things like

"Synths ripped straight from Pinkerton... are found through-out the track and are excellently placed, never being overbearing as if to suggest: "Look! Our new album sounds just like the old ones!" "

where the first half of the sentence is high praise and the second half is a critique or comparison, it kind of throws off the tone for a second especially when most of this review is high praise

"If there were any detractions from White Album as a whole, Thank God For Girls, Do You Wanna Get High?, and King of the World feel like filler for an album that tries to follow a progressive story arc as neither lyrics nor the sound honestly suggest they follow the cohesive theme of the album as a whole."

it kinda feels like youre bashing these songs but i know you arent. i think its the use of the word filler there. i understand you mean they dont fit with the lyrical flow but i think it could be worded in a way that it doesnt read like an oxymoron

those are my two cents. pos. and yeah the album is so so good

the only songs I would say are remotely comparable to Raditude/Hurley would be Thank God for Girls and Jacked Up, and even then both of those songs are miles ahead of anything off of either of those albums. the rest sounds more like a mixture of Blue and the better parts of Green with some Pinkerton sprinkled in.

I agree with TGFG but Jacked Up sounds lIke a completely different song from the rest of the weezer discography. Unless my memory doesn't serve me well.

April is gonna be a great month for music. And this album was such a great way to kick it off. I gotta hand it to the marketin guys over at Crush. They managed to share 50% of an album throug singles and still manage to keep the best content behind closed doors. I'm incredibly excited for the upcoming Blue October album especially.

Agreed. Charles Bradley, Pet Shop Boys, and Tim Hecker have either released their albums this month or are on the way

if you think this is the poppiest top 40 radio album they've ever released, there is no way you've heard Make Believe..

Or Green Album, or Raditude, or Hurley (debatable)

Weezer's always been about pop music, but their songwriting quality/personality is what separates records like this from Make Believe.
