nope, howard wasn't the original singer ;) but he was the vocalist for daylight dies and end of heartache so makes sense you'd dig him more if you enjoyed those albums

yeah not sure if it's just nostalgia or what, but i liked his voice a lot - it was very versatile and would jump from so many different styles on a dime. jesse doesn't sound bad, just sort of generic. actually, after 5 songs into this thing, 'generic' is the best word i can think of to sum it up

Jesses vox on this are great, the high pitched snarling stuff is a welcome addition to his usual vocals.

same here gyro, i feel like toothgrinder is a more versatile version of this band now. not that they are waaaay better, just more diverse.

yeah I prolly like Howard better as well. Alive or Just Breathing is considered by many to be the best Killswitch though

Wiki just surprised me, I can't believe Howard is 45. Jesus, he is like Dio when Dio joined Sabbath and was like 20 years older than everyone else

Mine might have been Millennium by Backstreet Boys. I was a radio top 40 kid in elementary school.
Just finished the first Killswitch album, liked it a lot. Onto Alive or Just Breathing

As Daylight Dies was my first metal album so I have a huge soft spot for it and Howard, but Alive or Just Breathing is my favorite Killswitch album and Jesse's vocals are a big part of why. so it's hard for me to say which vocalist I like better.

stoked to hear this though, especially if it really is their best since ADD.

"Triumph Through Tragedy" just destroys the main album, vocally. Adam killing it.

Yeah, I feel like Adam's vocals got overshadowed by Jesse for the most part but Triumph Through Tragedy gave him a nice spot
