Arcade coming in with the sledgehammer. I thought it was inconsistent like terribly, but taking it to another level and the ripping of White Privilege II's lyricism, love seeing a different side of the story that faces strongly to the right.

Going save what I have to say for when I review this but the only weak songs in my opinion are Dance-Off, The Train and that one song where he talks about not wanting to take his shirt off at the beach the name's escaped me at this moment

Downtown is actually awesome. Wasn't big on it at first but kept listening for the foxy shazam factor.

Watch Fantano give this a decent review and the average go up

I understand the reasons for not liking Macklemore the celebrity, but to completely deny all of the talent and effort that gets put into some of his work (truthfully, a great deal of it comes from his features and Ryan Lewis) is objectively unfair. Good or bad, this is not a 1.

Hmmm...should I listen to this out of morbid curiosity, or just skip out on it and move on with my life? Decisions, decisions.

A little less then half way through, not as bad as some of you guys are making it out to be so far.

...Until you hear Macklemore do his best Encore/Relapse era Eminem imitation on Dance Off.

I'm not even white but im honestly so scared to read the lyrics to white privilege II

It's basically three narratives stitched together with none of them having a conclusion or purpose outsider of a vague idea of macklememe's insecurities with white privilege. The most compelling thing on the song, which is him bringing up that people mistaken his music as the "good rap" and not what zE black people protest about... Something covered by eminem about a decade ago.
Waste of a song for online bloggers to feel good about without getting into the nitty gritty of actual commentary. The rap equivalent of Gods Not Dead or Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas.

They need to chill with the fucking grand piano ballads.

this album is fucking garbage and it is because Macklemore is a truly awful rapper, and his corniness just makes it even more unbearable. Also yes it is just a pop rap album but this dude keeps trying to shoehorn in self-righteous "serious" political posturing and 1.) He's also bad at that, and 2.) It doesn't fit whatsoever on a jokey, corny pop rap album.

Yeah that's my biggest problem with the album. In one breath, he's dropping corny af tracks about going on diet. Then two songs later, he's dropping shit like "White Privilege ll". Also, every single joke song on here is some of the worst garbage I've ever heard on a rap album.
