Good album but definitely a step down from Worship Music. It has a major lack of intense and biting songs like Evil Twin and Zero Tolareance.

--I just don't like the majority of the groove influenced riffs that they use in this album. Sure, they used them in Worship Music too but not as much as they do here... Worship Music has more diverse riffing and that's why i enjoy it more.--

There are definitely some groove-influenced riffs on this, but I hear a lot of Persistence of Time on this album.

--at least its better than the megadeth one--

Ha ha. There's always that. I personally liked the new Megadeth album. It's not a classic album or even as good as Endgame, but its better than everything else post-Rust in Peace.

--Good album but definitely a step down from Worship Music. It has a major lack of intense and biting songs like Evil Twin and Zero Tolareance.--

I personally appreciate the really solid choruses on this album. It's definitely the catchiest thing they've ever done, and it's cool that they've let Joey do some really really melodic vocals in places on this one.

I absolutely love Anthrax and though that Worship Music was fantastic, but this is a pretty sizable step backwards in my eyes. The songs seem to drag on, and many of the riffs are unimaginative and sound recycled.

yeah this is kinda a shift in focus from worship music, which had a few catchy choruses but they weren't as developed here. I'd say it's worse than that album but still pretty good all round, Breathing Lightning is a personal favourite as a kinda chiller and catchier song

I jammed the shit outta Persistence Of Time when it came out... The album artwork made me feel so... unsafe... Gonna check this, I wasn't much into worship music...

My recommended tracks are 'You Gotta Believe', 'Monster at the End', 'Breathing Lightening', and 'All of Them Thieves'.

I dunno the more melodic songs just didn't catched me and a lot of time I felt that they were dragging. By the way very nice review Willie.

Nice review, I also really like the Bush era and have no problem at all seeing it as Anthrax. Different and not as classic as most of the Joey stuff but still great. I enjoy Volume 8 quite a lot from time to time.

T/t, Breathing Lightning and Suzerain all riff pretty hard on here. And I'm totally obsessed with Defend Avenge, such a brutal riff.

i can definitely see where you're getting some of the persistence of time comparisons. this is going to grow on me, I can already tell

Yeah, those are pretty good songs too. The two I mentioned in the review are really the only two I don't like.

Yeah. It's not only my favorite Anthrax album, but also my favorite thrash release ever.

I guess there's still a chance you'll like this, but it's still Anthrax.
