I must say, Jupiter by far is better. I dunno, but its my opinion and I personally didn't get into Mars that easily as I did with Jupiter.

How is giving this album a poor score unjustified? Anyone who thinks this album is even decent needs to get their ears checked. Fuck that. Stevie Wonder can see better than you can hear.

I recently read an interview with Mr. Frusciante in which he claims to hear voices in his head and bear witness to spectral phenomena. Any thoughts? This Message Edited On 05.20.06

Frusciante is a druggie (but not now, i think) so I guess that hearing vioces means, yes he is insane. This Message Edited On 05.20.06

Yeah, he said in Guitar World he'll be sitting in a room with someone for ten-minutes and then they'll dissapear all of a sudden and he realizes they weren't from this dimension.

It's the heroin, methinks.

It's a fantastic song and I would have mentioned it had I not mentioned at least two of their other funkier, heavier songs on here.

Excellent review, but I think you are to harsh with Jupiter. "Hey" is the smoothest and best track (I find at the moment)

+ Anthony Kiedis’ singing has never been better

what? I thought it was his weakest performance yet. His emotion was just gone.

And I can't believe you didn't include Warlocks on the best songs list, as it is the best song on the album.

But this was a very good review nonetheless. I feel that this album is nowhere near being classic.

His emotion was just gone.
Well, I think he puts a lot of emotion into the songs and his control over his voice has improved greatly over the years.
And I can't believe you didn't include Warlocks on the best songs list, as it is the best song on the album.
It was on there, but it got old fast and I didn't think it had much depth to it.
But this was a very good review nonetheless. Good review, but ''no experimentation''? John's soloíng on here is quite innovative at times, playing off beat, and there's alot of tape manipulation. It's nothing extremely new, but it's experimenting nonetheless.

You can't give an album with a 4+ rating a bad rating. It's done to protect albums from unjustified 1's and such, done just to bring down the rating.

Does it block out anything below average?
