Great album. Some of the solos here and song structures were used by Gary Moore in the albums he recorded in 00's.

This must have been the blueprint for every rock guitarist back when it came out.

Guitar playing on here is legendary. 79 ratings for this album is a disgrace.

you should check the other two albums Mayall did, one with Peter Green and one with Mick Taylor. Both are great albums but very different in style.

Great recs. Blues from Laurel Canyon is also a very interesting album that's autobiographical and was released after the Bluesbreakers disbanded and John Mayall moved to the US.

if you want some new Blues, check Joe Bonamassa's newest album. It's excellent.

I've always been very skeptical towards modern blues players but I'll give it a shot nonetheless.

Bonamassa has a style of his own, if you can dig his guitar playing, you"ll definitely love his albums. ;)

His last two albums are quite solid. Sloe Gin is however is most acclaimed work to date.
