I remember reading that Queen wanted Bowie to produce "II" and looking back on it, it could've been great considering how Roy Thomas Baker's production in general is pretty bad (seriously, the loud moments on that record go in the red quite a bit); especially considering the albums he already worked on (Transformer, Raw Power)

def, though if New Values and Lust for Life (considering Iggy had far more control on that than The Idiot) indicate anything, Iggy would've put out some solid stuff even without Bowie.
