That seems to be the general consensus

If you take out the bonus tracks (tracks 14-18), the albums is actually 13 tracks. Given that "Father Stretch My Hands" and "High Lights" should've never been divided into 2 tracks each (kinda pointless) and that "I Love Kanye" skit could've probably been omitted, this is actually a cohesive 10-track/40 minute album.

BTW, Pitchfork is love... Pitchfork is life...

"Okay, apparently this isn't going to be the final version of T.L.O.P. "
oh christ
speaking of which i agree the christian undertones on some of this (but really pretty much only on the first track, from chance) suck. that's it they just suck

there's more b-sides and outtakes on this than anything. album could've done without the skits as well. kanye needs to stop fucking around.

I'm listening to this album frequently, I'll probably drop my rating to 4.0 . There's some absolutely fantastic songs on this album, Ultra Light Beams, and FML -> Real Friends -> Wolves are particularly noteable. The issue is the fact that there's some real duds on here too that drag the album down. Plus, a few songs feel tacked on and only deserving of being bonus tracks on a deluxe edition. A refined version of this album would probably keep my score at 4.5.

Oh yeah, shout out to all the features, they're pretty fantastic across the board. Especially Chance and Ty Dolla $ign.

Yeezus is my second favorite Kanye record (Dark Fantasy being my first and one of my only 5/5's), so I wouldn't say this tops it. However, this did grow on me wit repeated listens. I still can't enjoy Facts, Low Lights and Highlights, but tracks like Father Stretch My Hands (both parts), Famous, Feedback, Waves and 30 Hours grew a lot on me.
Also, I Love Kanye is such a meta moment. Genius skit/interlude. However, the Silver Surfer intermission is obsolete and unnecessary imo.

Also, FML is astonishing. Hell, Tesfaye absolutely killed it on that one. Everything about that song is so right.

Silver Surfer intermission is pretty pointless, seems like an attempt of tacking on the extra tracks to the original tracklisting with hopes of more flow between them

this is sorta underwhelming
wolves and real friends by far the best things on here
|
| |
still think UltraLight Beam is by far the best song, cutting off the extra tracks and moving No More Parties to after Highlights, the only song I don't like is Freestyle 4
