Eh...this album was dull to me. I wish there were more curveballs like Nothing More.

Yeah, I'll check these guys out after reading your review, Sowing, and listening to "Paralyzed." Not original, but it at least sounds inspired. Can't say that with some of the "establsihment" bands like Shinedown or Breaking Benjamin -- though I must admit "Angels Fall" is scratching a certain BB-itch that is due in large part to their lengthy hiatus.

Since we may or may not be peppering Sowing with "what about this band?"-questions, have you listened to Red Sun Rising? If so, what do you think of them?

Never heard Red Sun Rising. Anybody you would compare them to?

Well, they clearly listened to a lot of Alice in Chains, but that's the thing. They're pretty mediocre and sound like a post-grunge out there. They're opening for Pop Evil and I think they will do the same for Godsmack if they haven't already. I actually wrote admittedly a tad polemical review of their mainstream debut Polyester Zeal (rating 2.5). The backlash it drew was surprising for such an unknown quantity: ghost-negs, fanboys bitching, reviews written specifically to rebut mine and the somehow loss of my review being the primary review for the album.

Anyway, these guys remind me a bit of Otherwise who was supposed to be radio rock up-incomers a few years back. Wonder what those guys are doing now...
