Why does nobody listen to this

Power metal is not that likable here aside from very few bands

The last few weeks have shown that it is possible for Sputnik to develop a hype around a power metal band (Kamelot in that case), so there's still hope left

Ya for about thirty minutes people stopped obsessing over things that mix too many genres and are too complex for their own good

It's usually a good thing but it gets out of hand

Sometimes it does yeah, it shouldn't happen just for the sake of it but bands should use genre conventions as stylistic devices rather than see them as borderlines for their sound

And I'm a bit of a purist

Haven't bothered with the recent tech metal type bands. Don't know about NO, but most of them are kept within their own genre conventions all the same, whether they know it or not. Just like the Dream Theater type metal bands that solo away for minutes with no reason at all. And I'm saying all of that as a prog metal fan

Both The Marriage... are excellent albums, I have the black jewel case edition, with both albums enclosed within.
