need to relisten to this. never tried for we are the many, but their most recent 2 records are both train wrecks, and overcome was fairly average

For We Are Many's good, they managed to (mostly) nail the radio friendly sound without being cringeworthy like the new shit while adding in elements of this

For We Are Many returned to this style, albeit with a bit more emphasis on the clean singing. Phil sounds great though, and there is still a ton of melodeath influence.

For We Are Many was actually the first album I ever pre-ordered. got the bundle with a T-shirt of the cover art. never wear it anymore but it's cool to have, since I love Travis Smith's art and it's probably my favorite cover of theirs.
always found it a bit odd that Smith, who mostly works with bands like Opeth and Katatonia, did the art for this album and For We Are Many.. but then, he also did the cover of Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold, so I guess he's not picky about who he works with.

Deliver Us is fantastic too. Goes without saying Shadows Fall - The War Within, and Unearth - The Oncoming Storm are also 2000 and core essential.s

The Order of Things was one of the worst albums of 2015.
Also this band is filled with a bunch of arrogant fucks, particularly the vocalist.

@asleep
Fugue has elements of "metalcore" in the guitar work, but overall its melodic metal with some emphasis on poppy, catchy hooks. also the vocal style, which is one dude with three vocal approaches, is amazing.
