I have to admit I am a bit underwhelmed by this after one listen, but it'll probably grow on me.

Yeah Bermondsey Stutter was a definite highlight.

It is just a lot to take in so I guess more accurately I am simultaneously over and underwhelmed.

The re-recorded Sunhouse songs were all inferior to their original versions too.

More listens should help me identify more strongly with the individual tracks.

The man was nothing less than a walking bag of 'feels' who wrote classic tunes.

A massive, massive loss.

One of the purest, most emotive voices I have ever heard. Truly exceptional.

"Do you remember when you first laid on my fahyce"

Gav had the weight of the world on his shoulders while he was stood over the chip fat fryer and wrote tunes about escape.

He settled had a family wrote tunes about fragility, awkwardness and love that hit fuckin hard all the while trying to make ends meet and battling the demons.

"I take a paper thin existence and watch it burn"

It's impossible not to connect.

Zak what would you rate the Evangelist and what are your favourite tunes on that one?

It's a mystery lark dude.

Maybe a congenital thing inherited from his dad? Drugs? Suicide? A tragic accident? I don't know but I take comfort that in this digital age his family have been afforded the demands and prying eyes of people banging on their door wanting to find out..

All I know is he left way too soon.

Ello doof. I've only listened to it thrice and its a bloody good listen. I need a bit of time with it though to separate the Gav from this and Sunhouse to the Evangelist Gav.
