Haha, I'm hearing you all.
It's not the first time i've written stuff, or written reviews, but I just hastily wrote this up in an hour when this album came on shuffle on my itunes and I remembered how I used to really dig this album.
I did a track-by-track because I felt like I had a lot to say about more than a couple of the tracks. I do get that track by tracks can be kind of amateur looking, though.
Though to be entirely fair (if i say so myself...) I've seen a LOT worse track by tracks, and a lot worse first-time reviews, too, so its not all bad.
I stand by giving the album 3.5, I think this album is better than Adore (and Gish) and so therefore it's the Pumpkins' 3rd best album. If MCIS and SD are 4, 4.5, 5/5s, then this is just behind. There are some great riffs on this record too, and all footage ive ever seen of their 2000 tour looks absolutely awesome. Melissa auf der Maur is by far the best bassist they ever had, and they could hit out what were essentially greatest hits shows for that tour.

Also, RIP David Bowie. I think he was wise to keep the cancer a secret, cause otherwise the world would probably demand day-by-day video updates of how he was getting on , or something.
Haven't heard black star, going to listen to it just now!!
If it's as good as the Radiohead song Black Star then it'll be great! /jk
