Yeah, ksoflas. I couldn't say it better than you did, man. The Wall is really a monumental album, especially when we see the live performance of it.
Thanks man. I'm glad you liked my review.

Probably you are right LPFTW. However, I must confess that I never saw the album in a perspective like that. But now, thinking more about it, I must confess that you must be right. The Wall is in reality a very complex piece of music, a truly complex work.
Thanks for your comment, man.

" It's also probably the most famous progressive rock album in the history of music."
Dark Side of the Moon is deff more famous
Decent review, don't agree with it at all though, have a pos.

@ArsMoriendi
"Dark Side of the Moon is deff more famous".
I don't really know if you are right, man. Once I said and I wrote the same as you. I even said that the cover of The Dark Side Of The Moon is known everywhere, even for those who aren't prog fans. However, now, I'm not so sure about it. Don't forget the live performances made by Waters all over the world, especially of the 1990 in Berlin when the fall of the Berlin wall. What I really think is that both albums are probably the two most known prog albums in the world.
Thanks for your pos. Especially because your rating of the album.I easily can presume that you don't agree with all I wrote about the album.

dark side is more popular for sure look at the sales
not to downplay how popular this is/was, plus roger keeps feeding it to everyone with his tours

Yeah, guitarded. I know the sales of The Dark Side Of The Moon are really great and astonishing. However, as you said, Waters keeps feeding it to everyone with his live tours all over the world, especially because he lost his rights to the Pink Floyd material. He only owns the rights of The Wall. Anyway, we have also the movies and the DVD's of The Wall. So, I continue thinking That The Dark Side Of The Moon is much more popular with the fans of music, especially prog fans. However, with the public in general, probably The Wall can be better known, in general.

The Wall is a very ambitious and influential concept album released in a tough period for progressive rock. Maybe a bit overlong with its repetitiveness here and there, and filled with short tracks that are more or less fillers, but in general, the music fits well with the lyrics, and album is consistent enough.
I've seen the movie The Wall in 1982, and it helped me a lot to understand what was going on with the whole cold and dark story of The Wall.

You said almost what is most important about The Wall, Jethro. I agree with you, man.
I've also seen the movie The Wall in 1982. And yeah, you're right. See the movie was a big help to understand the concept of it.

Yeah potentially dude. I'll admit there's a fair bit of absolute nonsense on here but as a 'thing' this album is absolutely fucking amazing.

Nothing else like it and there never will be. It's ingenious in the way it taps into our deepest personal fears of being alone and not being able to connect with the world and it's basically just fucking amazing. 36 years later and it hasn't lost any of its bite.

It's become cool to hate it on here in the last few years and I find the whole thing fucking ridiculous, these are the same people who'll give the entire Brand New discography a 5. Talk about self awareness.

Noel Gallagher approached Gilmour and said how much he absolutley loved The Wall and how it was the Floyds greatest album but his missus preferred Meddle. Apparently Dave said well your wife obviously has better taste than you. Classic!

Dave and Roger both have great senses of humour, with Roger being a thousand times more cynical (case in point, Amused To Death).
