Not as good as Conditions but not bad either. The last record the vocals really shined this time the instruments although very subtle steal the show.

The instrumentals are definitely stronger this time around. It's nice to see them with more of an edge than the last record

Is this worth a listen for an industrial fan like me?

There's probably nothing here heavy enough for your liking but hey only one way to find out

I love the line "yes we're being condescending, yes that means we're talking down to you." It's kind of dumb, but I just find it amusing.

Apparently Tool are in the studio.

You gonna review this Sowing? Seems like one of your favorite non-indie albums of the year haha

I had every plan to review this after its release, but as usual I got super busy. I still might, but it won't be a "new release" by the time I get around to it. And yeah, I have always liked Puscifer which is weird because I was never a huge Tool fan. I actually got into Maynard from "Passenger" on White Pony.

You should give Tool another try, and definitely check out A Perfect Circle if you haven't yet. They're alt. rock/metal band that Maynard sings in.

CoMP is tad more worthwhile than this I find. Both are in the 3.5-4 area for me though. But yeah, Agostina and The Remedy are the best here, actually some of the best Puscifer yet I think.

Oh I've definitely heard APC. That's how I got into Puscifer. My line of introduction went Deftones, then some brief Tooling around, then APC, then Puscifer.

It's interesting that you like Swans, Opeth, Agalloch, and others but can't get into Tool. Though you do have 10X days at 3.5

Yeah I do enjoy Tool I just never felt compelled to pursue their discography. I might in due time.

Saw a post recently that compared the next Tool album to Half Life 3. Sadly it's a pretty much spot on comparison....

Saw this band on the tour for the last album, Carina Round opened and performed with Puscifer.

It was superb.
