really excited by this album. One of the most enjoyable releases of the year.

Still exploring this, but overall, I am pretty pumped for the entire record. Some really killer stuff here, and thankfully, a bit less of the verse/chorus/verse treatments on the 2013 release. That was good, but the band was clearly playing it safe on that release when compared to Condition: Human.
Still not on board, Titan? I thought you might like this one a bit more...

you wrote a fantastic and very well structured review even though i don't quite agree with a few of your views of the older material.....good read either way

Thanks y'all. I don't feel I quite explained the promised land connection properly, but I do appreciate the kind words.
I can honestly say now that QR are back. This dwarfs S/T. Really only spore and don't look back are on this level.

Dig this a lot, looking forward to the next chapter without Geoff screwing this band up.

Really enjoyed this album. It sounds a lot like the S/T album but it also a bit better by bringing the dark prog-metal nature of Rage of Order and Promised Land much more to the mix. My favourites are Hellfire, Selfish Lives and Hourglass. So glad these guys are making quality stuff again.

Also well written review, pos'd.

The vocals are a bit overdone at times, but this and the last album are just as enjoyable as Empire (musically speaking). And yeah, I can't believe these guys are actually releasing enjoyable music again. Every album from the 2000s was awful, and I've never bothered to listen to Dedicated to Chaos and Frequency Unknown since the reception for both was abysmal.

Every album before DTC has at least a couple of gems for me. Most are overhated (not always by much though).

I grabbed a copy of the CD. Stopped downloading a while back, as I now listen to a record a few times on Spotify before deciding to shell out the cash for the CD/vinyl or not.

Only heard a couple of songs but Todd is trying too hard to replicate Tate's style.

at least the QR structure is there as many have said.....take the vocals away and it is still easily identifiable as Queensryche.....some of the songs are good and i can certainly understand how some folks see this as highly enjoyable, but ranking this up there with Promised Land / Empire / Mindcrime / Rage / Warning is something I'll never be able to wrap my hands around
Just Us sounds like a leftover from Tribe
Hellfire and Bulletproof were easily the standout tracks for me.......album sounds like a hard 3
