I am under the impression the album has a great relistening value. I'll give it another spin to see if I don't change my mind. Maybe I made my decision too quickly. Would it be a contender for a 4.5 again? lol

Right, well somewhere along the line you rec'd Catapilla. It probably had nothing to do with the contest but I remember jamming it on top of all this other stuff.

I don't know if I'm blind, but I can't see Catapilla anywhere throughout the Friday's tourneys.

Same here, so probably Catapilla was recommended by a psych tourney participant or anybody at that time.

This is definitely more prog rock like King Crimson and VDGG, but it reminds me of the first Return to Forever album too mainly because of the singing. Another cool prog album with a similar female voice is Viva Boma by Cos.

I can't really relate this to KC or VDGG man, I think it goes more into a Hawkwind vein

Sure what I meant to say is in comparison to jazz or jazz fusion there's a harder edge like those bands.

I like very much the last track of that Return to Forever album. Kind of Flamenco rhythm. Delightful.

Your introductory paragraph reads like an LSD advertisement, if there ever was one haha. Excellent review, pos.

Heard the album only once after you recommended it to me so I seriously need to check again.
