I still need to jam TREOS, don't know why I haven't.

This is *slightly* better than Act III.

This band basically took Coheed's spot in the musical food chain.

So, new Riverside and new TDH. If I get laid tonight my day will be round up.

"This band basically took Coheed's spot in the musical food chain."

That's just silly. Sure, they both have multi-album narratives, but Coheed's pop punk/sci-fi edge and TDH's baroque/vintage edge are totally different.

"ughh even bad coheed is better than this band"

YOTBR and Descension don't even come close.

Anyhow, I'm halfway through and am enjoying it quite a lot so far. I doubt it'll shape up to be their best, but TDH have always been more about being consistent than trying to outdo themselves at every turn, so whatever. I found A Night On The Town a little shallow and not quite as powerful as it should have been, but Is There Anybody Here? counterpoints it excellently.

I use that comparison pretty loosely.

This gets a low 4.5 from me. The music isn't quite up to the level of Acts II and III, but the concept and lyrics (absolutely integral to TDH for me) are absolutely spot on.

Well, I would agree with you and give it a 3.8 for the music but HOLY SHIT that storyline (and, naturally, the way it connects with the music)

Is it just me that thinks this is really boring? Nice artwork though.

yeah it's not his very best, but i don't understand how you'd dislike this if you like the other acts.

Its not as consistent as the other acts, but there's not really a drop in quality.

Maybe. I think it's good but on a personal enjoyment level it's quite low.

No, because I'm rating this as a complete experience, which is obviously dependent on the narrative. Also, the music is growing on me somewhat. If it grows off, then of course I'll lower it.
