^Same. I expected Christian electronicore to be interesting at the very least, but this is just plain generic. It's bad, but not funny bad. What a letdown.

If the members took this review and criticism on the chin or even took it on board to improve their next release then I'd be fine with them. But if they're out to throw a hissy fit over it and only want reviews that stroke their egos, then I have no respect for them. If I ever get a new band properly going or can muster up the motivation to try to make a solo demo/EP, and I get negative feedback, I'll just take it on board and use it to fix the biggest problems that are highlighted. Yeah I get it that it hurts to have music that you worked hard on shat on, but acting like a child won't earn you any favours from critics. I am a critic as well as a musician (writing reviews on here plus being a journo at Rocksins.com) so I know both sides and critics can be very unforgiving.

Great review, first paragraph was brilliant though there's a couple of mistakes here and there.

Actually gonna bump my rating for this, cause that little intermission track before the last track is kinda decent, and this is relatively easy to sit through at least. But, yeah it's still really terrible.

They play music, and recently they recorded an album.

Not even a million monkeys in a million rooms with a million typewriters apiece could craft something this forgettable.

the way I see it is is this - if you're doing what you love, what you really, TRULY love then all the criticism in the world shouldn't be allowed to hold you back... particularly when the criticism seems mostly to be made by people who just can't keep up with ChugChugWob. Fact is, most of the "negatives" you point out in this review are the exact style we're aiming for. why not, instead of demanding that music continue to be made the way YOU'RE comfofortable with, open your mind to our new fresh style? You'd enjoy life more that way, too!

one of your main complaints seems to be that the difference styles in our music come one after another??? dude, TIME is arranged so that it flows serially from one moment to the next - our music takes advantage of that. it would be incredibly hard to play all these styles simultaneously. haha if you really sit down and think about it you surely have to see that structuring the songs in the manner of a queue is the only temporally harmonious approach. honestly man I'm tearing my hair out because every time you say something to detract from Redemption I wanna scream "that's the beauty of it, fucko!"

but to remain gracious let me say thanks for the review. i would have thought someone who was down with deadmau5 would have understood the album but guess not eh

I can keep up with it, it's just the fact that it's been done and done a lot better by bands such as Beyond All Recognition, Crossfaith, even parody musicians like Boyinaband/Cookiebreed.

I fail to see your point here. Shit band makes shit music and expects a reaction other than "this is shit"? All of the points the reviewer made about why this album sucks are totally valid. Whatever your "aim" was for your music, you obviously failed to deliver, and should take this criticism to heart other than being a condescending prick.

It's like I said earlier, I get that it's not nice to receive negative feedback on something you worked hard on but as long as it's constructive and makes valid points, the best thing to do is take them on board, accept that things need to be fixed, and use it to become a better band. I don't mean to the point of fan-pandering where you completely abandon what you want to do in favour of good reviews, but just fixing the glaring problems in your sound (like approach, production, structure etc). If you just want someone to stroke your ego then being a musician might not be for you.
