Nice one man. This is a serious AOTY contender for me, and I'd definitely rank it above Wake/Lift and the last album. The only occasional gripe is the clean vocals, which are generic and un-energetic during most of the crescendos.

Ehh I think they're nice. But Wake/Lift is definitely my favorite.

TGS and Determinism are best imo

Agreed. And Wake/Life is still a solid 4 at the least.

The band is just very consistent. The last lp was shaky but still a good listen. The only song theyve made that I could say is bad is shugyo. I used to think soot was very lame as well, but it grew on me tremendously.

Mmmm, Wake/Lift though. Glad this has a review now. I'm not as sour as I was about Eric Jernigan having vocals on this record but I would still prefer less of him and more of Mike.

It's quintessentially ephemeral, you might say.

i do like this album but like, they've basically been writing the same structured song for 3 albums now despite hiding it well

it is a shame that the band does not want to release the lyrics for this.

I was wondering when someone would review this. When The Anaesthete came out I think there were 3 reviews out on the first day here. Great job, and thanks.

BTW, have you checked out Sunset In The 12th House yet?
