That's a turn up Sandwich, I did have to bump this to a 4.5 recently but still nowhere near favourite. I do prefer it to 'Mind Bomb' by quite a margin so it is safely 'top three'

Zak doesn't get it - luckily Johnny Marr believes this is the best album he ever worked on.

Clever chap.

No Morrissey equals infinitely superior :D

It was only geography that stopped Marr and Johnson forming a band before The Smiths...sadly, as ever, evil prevailed on this godforsaken hovel of a planet.

In any argument involving Morrissey - Mozza is the only bitch

Have you ever watched Matt's brother's films Zak? 'Tony' and 'Hyena', both soundtracked by Johnson.

Worth a watch, make the London portrayed in terrestrial fare like McMafia and Luther look like Mary Poppins in comparison. 'Tony' is the pick of the two.

The clincher for me with this album is the fact it's soundtracking both the depressed daytime and seedy nighttime London. He's one of the best to soundtrack the place, can imagine there's nothing quite like growing up in London pubs most of you childhood to poison you with a numbing nostalgia your entire life

Album's got that saddened vibe that pulls you in, for sure. Probably the album's best quality.
