Album Rating: 3.4
'Ones and Zeros', the 3rd LP from English quintet Young Guns, is certain to prove divisive. Where their debut was atmospheric & follow-up 'Bones' used keys sparingly, this huge sounding record is wall to wall synths. The anthemic rockers do attempt to integrate their newfound penchant for electro with their base hard-rock sound, however, even if it isn't always successful. Slickly produced by Steve Osborne, this accessible pop-influenced album is infectious at times, but filler does unfortunately exist. Only lead single 'I Want Out' is likely to land them any significant airplay. Recommended Tracks: I Want Out, Speaking in Tongues, Infinity & Ones and Zeros.

This is 100%, absolutely, undoubedly the best album that they have made up to this day, 1/16/2019. And it’s really not even a discussion. I want out, daylight, momento mori, speaking in tongues, lullaby....this album has way more good songs than any of their other records.
