This Is How The Wind Shifts is easily their best album in my opinion, nothing they put out before that hooked me in the same way. This is definitely good, think a 4 is spot on, it's just not QUITE as good.

After spinning this a whole bunch, I might be inclined to agree...but I really don't know, it's uber close in the end. I'll have to listen to TIHTWS and have them battle it out one final time in my mind haha
I've been getting into older Silverstein now though. I think the new stuff has led me to appreciate it, in a way.

Haven't heard anything from these guys since when 'Broken is Easily Fixed' in the earlier 00's. Are they actually good now?

Well so far it is just as enjoyable as TIHTWS. I hate late on 6th though. Midwestern state of emergency and Buried at Sea have been my favorite so far.

this band has been amazingly consistent across the course of their career.
Midwestern state of emergency is my favorite on this album so far. I tend to love silversteins openers.

This album is pretty good. I saw these guys live a few months ago and they were great. I just can't help but wish they would step it up with their instrumentation. The songs are decent and work well, but you'd think after 6 (i think?) albums, they would step it up a notch and expand some of their boundaries.

Love this album so much, I was worried after Wind Shifts that they might have peaked. But I honestly can't pick between the two. Silverstein has been such a consistent band from day one. MAYBE 2 mediocre albums, but nothing flat out BAD. Great review too
