I loved how riled up and horny this review reads lol
the man truly loves this record. I didn't like the opener (every fucking prog band and their mother opening with a boogie in the 70s) but the rest is lit.

Queen of Torture forces me to headbang.
New album is great btw, it's like Powell doesn't know he is 70.

Absolutely. These guys were pioneers as far as twin-lead guitars are concerned.

Nah. This is a great album but "Argus" is better. Their best, really.

I think my main problem with this album (apart from the bluesy boogie approach at times) is that I don't like the treble heavy squeashy production. The drumming is excellent, the guitar leads amazing, and some tracks like Errors of My Ways or Phoenix are really good though.
I won't waste a single minute more trying to get into Handy and that completely unnecessary bass solo though.

Agreed. This is a quite good album with enjoyable songs, despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of the bluesy approach. Actually, I'm not a great fan of the blues.

yeah i totally agree. i do not enjoy blues. they usually follow a same melodic formula from what i heard. I think the band Elf had blues in it and that was not enjoyable for the most part
