hey rudi van disarzio, why are you here in this god forsaken place?
|

I dont know how I feel about this... I don't see much sense in Holy Man being here. That was just Hughes singing.
Anyways, the songs feel too polished and Coverdale vocals are too rispy... I know it's the aging factor, but it doesn't work well with the overall production.

I just remember reading "The Heroin Diaries" and Nikki constantly complaining about how fucking boring the members of this band were.

Love Ain't No Stranger is also up there and there are a few great tracks in their blues rock days such as Don't Break My Heart Again, Blindman, Walking In The Shadow of the Blues (awesome song), Medicine Man and original version of Fool For Your Loving ofc. I'm gonna jam Lovehunter right now goddammit.

Maybe if you're talking exclusively about their brief "hair metal" phase.

Not a big fan of their bluessy phase tbh

I wouldn't call their blues rock era a phase, that was the real Whitesnake.

Nice work manos, great review
I can't help but think that the departure of Doug Aldridge is partly to blame for the (very nicely put) adequate guitar work.
@JamieTwort
Couldn't agree more mate! Although I did quite enjoy their Forevermore album
