I think this is a real good album but it sounds kinda awkward in places

I really like this. I just wish they didn't end the album on a Deathcore-ish breakdown. So anti-climactic.

givin' the junz. I have read the lyrics for the first three-four songs but I guess the breakdown is somewhat related to the dark ending of the story, I'd suppose

Well according to the lyrics it's either the death of the protagonist or his failure in waking up from the coma he's in. So yeaaaah bring in' the junz death is comin' so badass

"But there are memories of darkened times still haunting me at every turn

The fear is constantly calling me back

Despite my fevered cries for help

I'm left alone in nebulous black

Morbid moments never cease

Sinister Silence gnashes his teeth"

Yeah, definitely what's keeping me from giving this a 5 is the lackluster ending of Chromatic Aberration, and the fact that the concept could be better.

I dunno man, all these high ratings are really strange to me. But at the same time, I can see the appeal.

Well the tech prowess is obvious, and it's much better than BtBaM's release as well. The concept is actually quite interesting to read and it jamz hard

although I gotta be honest first 3-4 listens I thought it was pure shit

I definitely do enjoy the concept of this album, it is very accessible in terms of understanding the story. One of the best prog releases of this year.

A "love it or hate it" album, it's quite unusual but very good indeed. I can definitely relate it to some of Haken's work. "Your familiar face" and "Passage" are brilliant.

I can see how you wouldn't like this, but I can't see how anyone could ever call this 'boring'.

If these guys can lessen the chuggy wankery a bit with their next record, than they'd make something incredible.
